Team Leader Robot Welding

Your Future Challenge

BAE Systems Hägglunds is in an expansive phase due to several new billion-dollar contracts. To meet the high demand, we need to strengthen our welding department with a team leader for our robotic welders. We have several facilities where new products need to be programmed and integrated. Our facilities include ABB and IGM, and we also have an AM lab where we evaluate future technologies and welding methods. You will have the support of a coordinator and a competent team of over 60 employees who deliver high-quality welding work in our production flow. Within the department, we are responsible for welding our military vehicles CV90 and BVS10.

As a team leader, you will be the extended arm of the group manager. You will be responsible for personnel management, planning, follow-up, and business development.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and schedule the workflow for robotic welding to ensure efficiency and meet production goals.
• Monitor production to ensure it adheres to set timelines and quality standards.
• Create a good work environment and ensure that all safety regulations are followed.
• Distribute tasks based on competence and availability and promote sustainable workloads.
• Continuously work on competence planning and coach employees.
• Analyze and improve workflows and production methods to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Implement new technologies or working methods to enhance productivity and reduce production costs.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with experience in robotic welding in the industry; good knowledge of vehicle welding is advantageous, and experience from the defense industry is a plus.

To succeed in this role, you should have good knowledge of the Office suite, and experience with systems such as SAP is an advantage.

Fluency in Swedish and English is required.

Good collaboration and communication skills are important, as well as valuing efficiency and constantly working on improvement opportunities.
